Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, more popularly known by the name of LASIK, is a procedure that corrects vision problems and altogether eliminates the necessity of spectacles or corrective lenses.

Types of LASIK Eye Surgery

The Excimer laser procedure is used and a bandage contact lens is placed. The healing process involves slight pain in the early phase and causes a slight delay in visual recovery. However, because of its numerous advantages, it is still a preferred technique for the patients who are deemed unfit for LASIK flap creation.

The LASIK procedure uses an extremely fine blade named ‘MicroKeratome’ to cut the corneal flap and then employs Excimer laser for corneal shape correction.

No manual blade needed here. A Femto laser creates a clean and precise flap minimising every possible complication of a blade.

Currently the best procedure for specs-removal, this 100% blade-free laser vision correction method needs no flap at all. Patients experience little discomfort for a couple of hours, but resume routine activities almost immediately after the procedure.
